Opti-Script maintains 98% quality assurance on all of its documents
by hiring experienced transcriptionists and providing them with
the necessary tools to achieve the highest quality standards. The
section below outlines our Commitment to Quality as it is stated
in our service agreement:
Report
quality standards criteria include the following: (1) Medical error,
i.e. medication, (2) text omitted, i.e., word(s) dictated but not
transcribed, (3) missing or incorrect patient identification, (4)
spelling, medical and nonmedical words, (5) punctuation, grammar,
or syntax error. *A sample Quality Analysis Sheet is attached. Reference
resources used for continuous quality improvement include The Gregg
Reference Manual and The AAMT Book of Style. Our medical transcriptionists
are trained to maintain consistent report content, i.e., transcribing
medication dispensation utilizing t.i.d., b.i.d., mg, q8h, and so
forth.
OSI shall provide Subscriber with a standardized abbreviation listing
utilized for all Subscribers which follows American Association
for Medical Transcription (AAMT) guidelines. The abbreviation list
shall be appended to Subscribers current abbreviation list.
OSI shall utilize abbreviations only when deemed appropriate. Abbreviations
shall not be utilized in transcription of Diagnosis(es) and shall
not be utilized in transcription of letters and/or memos.
OSI will initially perform quality analysis checks on all transcribed
reports. Upon OSI determination that report quality is 98% or greater,
quality checks will be performed on every fourth transcribed report.
Periodic quality checks will be performed on 100% of reports to
assure that the accuracy rate is maintained at 98% or greater.
Transcribed medical report(s) with three or more typographical or
spelling error(s) per report will be corrected by OSI and provided
to the Subscriber at no additional charge.
